Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Cause:

This error is a generic error message that can appear in many different areas of Ajera.

Resolution: 

Typically this error message is resolved by canceling the changes made and logging out of Ajera and logging back in. 

There a few known resolutions to this error if it is reoccurring. 

1. Delete 2.0 folder located in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Apps
   • Please refer to KB Article 81926 for a detailed instruction.
2. Clear cache on Internet browser by pressing F5 and Ctrl at the same time (while on the Ajera login page). 
3. Install Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.5.2 for Windows 8. 
4. Install Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.6 for Windows 10. 
5. If you are receiving the error in the Finance Charges module, add Finance Charge's Start Date. 
   1. In Setup > Company > Preferences, go to the Billing tab. 
   2. In the Finance Charges section add the Finance charge start date
   3. Save.
