Unable to make changes to timesheet
Resolutions: - If the timesheet has been approved you must have your company preference time & expense entry tab set to Allow Timesheet Changes by Supervisor and/or Accounting.
Note: In addition you have to be a Manager Type of Supervisor or Accounting Manager with in the employee setup to allow changes. - Check to make sure entries are not Billed or Paid.
- When in the edit of the timesheet click the blue + in the upper right hand corner.
- Check the Billed and Paid boxes > click ok.
- Click on the individual time entry that is locked and look below at the hours detail section to see if the billed or paid boxes are checked.
- If billed you will need to take the client invoice to reissued status to allow you to change the time entry.
- If paid you will need to delete the paycheck if using inhouse payroll or the vendor invoice is using outsource payroll.
- Check the Do not allow entries prior to date in company preferences on the general tab is the Don't allow entries prior to date to make sure the date you are using is after this date.
- If you are using Project Time Approval, review if the Project Manager has approved the time entry.
- Check to make sure Project, Phase, and Activities are all active statuses.
- Check to make sure the Employee Type is active status.
- Make sure the date is after the Payroll Beginning Balance Date is not after the time entry.
- If Canadian, make sure that the workstation's regional date settings are English(US) in the Widows settings.
- If you are using Effective Cost you cannot edit the time entries that were included in that pay period even if they are unpaid. However, if you have the Administrator role on your employee setup you can add additional rows to that timesheet after you unapproved it.
- Delete the 2.0 folder.
