Setting up Pay Rate Change or Schedule Rate Change. Changing the Employee Pay Rate in the Employee Record. 

Resolution:  

Employee Start Date - This is the effective date as to when employees rate applies.  

Example:
New Start Date : 1/1/2018
Payroll Pay Period : 12/16/2017 - 12/31/2017 (Semi-monthly Payroll)
Pay Date : 1/2/2018  

• Actual Result if payroll is processed: It will use the old rate from before 1/1/2018  
• Ajera uses the effective pay rate at the time the entries were made, this means that editing the employee's pay rate in between a given pay period will not retroactively change the rates of an employee's existing hours.
• If a user needs to update the pay rate of existing hours, it is recommended to recalculate the time.
