Description:

What would cause an item in the approval workflow process to automatically add a delegate, specifically for only one user?

Resolution: 

Delegates can be assigned through User Options, follow the instructions below to check for assignments: 

  1. On the Vision main toolbar, click Image Options.
  2. On the General tab of the User Options dialog box, select the Delegate Approvals to check box. 
  3. In the field to the right of the check box, select the employee who will perform approvals in a users absence. It will be possible to select any employee in the organization to be the delegate. 
  4. Click OK to save your entries. 
  5. When its time to resume performing approvals, clear the Delegate Approvals to check box on the User Options dialog box. The delegate will now stop receiving approval alerts and no longer receives approval assignments on behalf of the user.
