Resolution:
If benefit hours are set up to pre-accrue (Settings > Accounting > Absence Accrual), the benefit hour accrual is updated when a New Benefit Year is opened. This will show as Earned on the Accrued Time report.
If Absence Accrual (Benefit) hours are not set to pre-accrue and if Payroll module is enabled, check Settings > Accounting > Absence Accrual. If the radio button for Yes is selected for Accrue Absences with Payroll, then Absence Accrual (Benefit) hours are updated when a payment from a Regular Payroll is posted. NOTE: If a payroll payment is voided (or unposted) then the Absence Accrual (Benefit) hours are reduced.
If the Payroll module is not activated or if in Settings > Accounting > Absence Accrual, the radio button is not selected for Accrue Absences with Payroll, then Absence Accrual (Benefit) hours are only updated manually in Accounting > Absence Accruals > Absence Hours Accruals Processing. This dialog shows when the last time this process was run. Be sure to run this process only once after each payroll period.
