How can Retainage held be partially released without using Interactive Billing?

Resolution:

If there is not a need to produce an invoice for the client, the Retainage can be released using Transaction Entry. The Retainage can be relieved and billing increased.

1. Go to Transaction Center > Transaction Entry > Invoices and create a new transaction.
2. Enter the same invoice number where the retainage was withheld.
3. In the detail line enter the Invoice Section, Retainage Account, and the amount in the Retainage field.
4. Once this entry is posted, the system will see that the Retainage has been decreased in Interactive Billing and the billed amount on the AR Ledger has increased.
