Email has been configured to send mail from a Default Sender, but the user who is sending the email does not have SendAs rights to send mail as that Default Sender.

Resolution:

  1. In Vision, click Configuration > General > System Settings and select the Email tab.
    • The Default Sender must be a valid email address
    • If using the Prefix for the Default Sender, the prefixes of Deltek_ and DeltekAdmin_ will be appended to the Default Sender name.
    • If using TLS, a valid username and password must also be entered in order to authenticate.
  1. For Exchange (or Office 365), create the prefixed email addresses such as Deltek DefaultSender@company.com and DeltekAdmin_DefaultSender@company.com   These must be valid email addresses.
    • Add delegate rights (SEND AS rights) for the email address of each user who will be sending mail from Vision.
