What are the options for accruing Benefit Hours?
Resolution:  
There are two options for accruing Benefit hours such as Vacation, Sick Leave or PTO.
 
Option #1:  Pre-Accrue:
  • Select this option if to pre-accrue annual benefit hours when opening a new benefit accrual year.
  • Vision locates the hours per year for each employee receiving this benefit in Employee Info Center > Accounting tab in the Benefit Accruals grid) and applies the full amount at the time a new benefit year is opened.
  • Enable this in Configuration > Accounting > Time Analysis on the Benefit Accrue Setup tab.  Check the box for Pre-Accrue Hours.
Option #2:  Accrue as you go:
Accrue as you go based on your Benefit Accrual Frequency set up in Configuration > Accounting >Company Setting > Timesheet tab.(Example: Weekly, Bi-weekly)
  • Manually accrue in Human Resources > Benefit Hours > Accruals
  • Or Automatically, if the Payroll Module is owned and box is checked for Accrue benefit hours when payroll is processed in Configuration > Accounting >Company Setting > Timesheets tab.
