When are benefit hours accrued updated in Vision?

 

Resolution:

  1. If benefit hours are set up to pre-accrue (Configuration > Accounting > Time Analysis > Benefit Accrual Setup tab), the benefit hour accrual is updated when a New Benefit Year is opened. This will show as Earned on the Accrued Time Report.
  2. If benefit hours are not set up to pre-accrue and the payroll module is being used, check Configuration > Accounting > Company Settings > Timesheets tab. If the box is checked for Accrue Benefit hours when payroll is processed, then benefit hours are updated when a check from a Regular Payroll is posted. Additionally, if a payroll check is voided then the benefit hours are reduced.
  3. If the Payroll module is not activated OR if in Configuration > Accounting > Company Settings > Timesheets tab the box is NOT checked for Accrue benefit hours when payroll is processed, then benefit hours are only updated manually in Human Resources > Benefit Hours > Accruals. This dialog shows when the last time this process was run. Be sure to run this process only once after each payroll period.
