How to enable Windows Integrated Authentication for Deltek Vision

To enable Windows Authentication for Microsoft Internet Information Services 7 and 8, using a local Active Directory:

1. On the Web Server, select Start \ Control Panel \ Administrative Tools
2. Select Internet Information Services
3. Under the Server Name, select the appropriate Web Site.
4. Select the appropriate virtual directory:
   • for Vision, the default name is Vision
   • for Costpoint CRM, the default name is GovWin
5. In the right panel, double-click Authentication.
   • If Authentication does not appear, change the feature view to No Grouping.
6. Disable Anonymous Authentication.
7. Enable Windows Authentication.
8. Close Internet Information Services.

When users launch the application, they will see a check box for Windows Authentication.  If the username is configured to use Windows Authentication for this database, simply checking the box will enable the user to log in automatically without specifying the password.  On a subsequent login, the login box will be bypassed, unless the user is allowed to choose a different database.  Login to Deltek Vision > Click Help at top right > select Content > Expand Configuration > Expand Security Configuration > Read the Windows Integrated Security for more information.
