Enter hours in any level of the project in summary or across the calendar. If hours have already been planned, Vantagepoint spreads the new entry proportionately based on the current spread. If planned hours don't exist, the entry spreads proportionately based on resource assignment dates and working days within the assignment. 

 

One can also choose to re-spread hours evenly or proportionally for any chunk of time by using the Redistribute Hours feature and choosing to Change Planned Hours. Note that spreading evenly is about spreading the hours evenly based on working days.
