Resolution:
Access to Timesheets is given to a user based on the Administration Level that is assigned to the employee record linked to that user. This Administration Level access is set in the Employee HUB > Time & Expense tab and gives access to view timesheets.
- Staff level gives the employee access to his or her timesheets only.
- Group level gives the employee access to timesheets for all employees within a particular (specified) group. NOTE: this is often used for companies who want the supervisors to have access to all of the employee’s timesheets that they supervise. The Groups are setup to represent each Supervisor. Example: Jack is a supervisor and a Timesheet Group is setup called Jacks Group (Configuration > Time & Expense > Company Timesheets > Employee Group tab). This Group is assign to all of the employees who report to Jack. Jack’s employee record is given Group Administration Level and Jacks Group is assigned to the grid below the Administration Level in the Employee Info Center > Time & Expense tab.
- Company level gives the employee access to certain companies and certain groups within a multicompany database. If a database has more than one company and an employee needs access to certain groups, both the Company and the Group need to be selected in the grid below the Administration Level in the Employee Info Center > Time & Expense tab.
- System level gives the employee access to timesheets for all Groups, all Companies and all Employees. Note: At least one employee must be designate to have System level access.
Give Edit access to allow the employee to create or edit a timesheet based on the view access. This only applies to timesheets that have not yet been Submitted, Approved or Posted.
