Creating a new company
 
Resolution:
  1. From CE Main Login screen, type Doctor as username (enter the password if applicable). 
  2. Click Login.
  3. Select Create a New Company 
  4. Enter new company number.
  5. Click OK
  6. Close the Doctor window to return to the login screen.
  7. At the login screen, select the new company number. 
  8. In the User ID field, enter PW MAINT (no password is needed for the first login). 
    • Users will now need to set a password for the PW MAINT user and create a new user, since ComputerEase no longer provides a default blank user for security reasons.
  9. Ensure that the GL Access Code and Job Access Code fields for the user are filled in. 
  10. Save the user settings, 
  11. Then log in to the new company as the newly created user.
  12. From the Main System Menu, go to Configure > Company Name to set up the company name and address.
  13. Next, navigate to Configure > System Parameters > General Ledger Parameters
    • Set these parameters first, as other settings cannot be configured until this step is complete.
    • If users want the new company to mirror an existing one:
      1. Access the existing company 
      2. Go to Configure > System Parameters > System Setup Report > All (for the Module dropdown).
  14. Print the System Setup Report to view all parameter settings for each CE module. 
    • Users can then replicate these settings in the new company by entering them as shown in the report.
